Crumbs, counted

Every cookie this site can set, and who decides.

You do. The site needs a couple to work. The rest wait for your OK, and "Cookie settings" in the footer lets you change your mind any time.

What a cookie is

A small text file the site asks your browser to keep, so the site can recognize the same browser later. Some are set by us, some by services we use. Browsers also have a bigger box called local storage, which we use for one thing: remembering the choice you make in the cookie card.

The four groups

Necessary

These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Without them the contact form, security checks and your cookie choice itself would not work.

NameSet byDoesLasts
aeo-consentagencyaeo.com (local storage)Remembers the choices you made in the cookie card so we do not ask againUntil you clear it
wordpress_test_cookie, wp-settings-*WordPressOnly set when someone signs in to manage the site; visitors never get themSession to 1 year
aeo_contact (transient)agencyaeo.com, server sideCounts form submissions per connection to stop bots. Not a cookie, listed for honesty1 hour

Analytics

Off until you allow them. With your OK, Google Analytics counts anonymous visits so we can see which pages help people and which do not.

_ga_*Google AnalyticsKeeps the current visit together2 years

We use Google Consent Mode. If you decline, the analytics tag runs without cookies and sends only aggregate, cookieless pings, which cannot be tied to you.

Preferences

Off until you allow them. Remembers small conveniences, like a form you started, so you do not type it twice. Today the site sets none of these. If that changes, this table will too.

Marketing

Off until you allow them. These would let an ad platform show you a relevant ad later instead of a random one. We currently run no ad pixels on this site, so allowing this group sets nothing today. We list it so the choice is already yours if that changes.

Cookies from embedded things

The map on the contact section is drawn by Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads. The map only loads on pages that show it.

Changing your mind

Click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. Flip the switches, save, done. To wipe everything, clear this site's data in your browser settings; the cookie card will come back and ask again.

Browser setting too. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies for all sites. Block necessary ones here and the contact form will not send, so use the footer control if you can.
